BSTD is proud to be the first Test Center in Somalia to be accredited by LanguageCert, IESOL Test Centre in Somalia, and the SELT Exam preparation centre in the United Kingdom. The centre is dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality, internationally recognized language exams that enhance individuals’ career, educational, and personal prospects worldwide.

What is LanguageCert?

• LanguageCert is an awarding Organisation dedicated to language skills assessment and certification. It is a UK-based company recognized by Ofqual that develops its qualification to offer its global community of learners a comprehensive portfolio of high-quality English language certifications, catering for candidates wanting to live, work or study in English-speaking environments.
• LangugageCert – partners with renowned organisations worldwide to offer high-quality language skills assessment and certification in English, Spanish and Turkish Language exams to assess all CEFR levels.
• LanguageCert is applicable for admission to any educational institution in New Zealand in place of IELTS Academic. The exam is also for access to educational institutions in the UK, China, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Germany, the USA and other countries.

BSTD and LanguageCert

• LanguageCert International ESOL examinations at levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 can be taken online from our Test Centre in Mogadishu, Somalia. Candidates can take their exam in three ways: computer-based exams, Paper-based and online proctoring Exams. Bright Star Training has eliminated, with the help of LanguageCert, the cost and time of travelling outside Somalia to demonstrate English language proficiency for employment or academic purposes.
• We believe that candidates and test content are at the heart of exam programs, and it’s our job to protect both. We provide expert testing services for the entire exam life cycle to help candidates move from potential to progress.
• Our teachers ensure learners have a better grasp of the English language, are accepted into their desired universities and communicate more effectively with people from all over the world. Being devoted to excellence, our experienced instructors teach students in small groups to aid progression and develop English skills as much as possible, focusing on each learner’s needs. By becoming a LanguageCert Approved Test Centre, we offer students of all ages the opportunity to acquire the internationally recognised qualifications, LanguageCert International ESOL.
• At this time, due to the unstable epidemiological situation in the world, training centres for preparing and passing exams are suspending their work for an indefinite period, postponing exams. In this regard, a large queue of people who want to be tested accumulates when the centres continue to work after quarantine.
• Our LanguageCert Test Centre in Somalia provides a unique opportunity – to pass the online international LanguageCert exam and an intensive online exam preparation course!

LanguageCert scoring system

• For every foreign student who wants to enter any educational institution in other parts of the world, a mandatory criterion is the presence of an international IELTS Academic certificate with the required passing score (5.5 – 6.0 – 6.5), depending on the level of the planned professional program.
• For admission to the International professional programs Level 5-7 (Diploma, Graduate Diploma), you must pass the C1 Expert IESOL (LRWS) exam on PASS – 50% for each category.
• For admission to international professional programs at levels 8-10 (Postgraduate, Master and PhD), you must pass the C1 Expert IESOL (LRWS) exam for a HIGH PASS – 67%, subject to completion of at least 50% in each category.
